The Thurston County Regional Housing Council agreed Jan. 22 to pursue a facilitated retreat in May aimed at clarifying the council’s role and producing an actionable work plan.
The session, proposed by the RHC tech team, would be a half-day meeting in May (tentatively Friday, May 16 or May 23) and run about five hours. Tom (RHC tech team) told the council the team estimated roughly 42 hours of facilitator effort — about 30 hours of preparation, facilitator time for the meeting, and roughly six hours of post-meeting wrap-up — and a target invite list of roughly 30 people: the five voting RHC members and alternates, the chairs and vice chairs of the two advisory boards, one chief administrator from each jurisdiction and one to three tech-team staff per jurisdiction.
The retreat’s proposed deliverables include pre-meeting interviews with key participants, an agenda and meeting objectives, facilitation, and a short summary of key decisions and next steps. The…
