During its Jan. 14 meeting, the Iroquois County Board approved an amendment to draft minutes, approved payroll and claims, and adopted a revised schedule for committee meetings.
The board corrected a reference in the draft minutes to an ordinance number (the transcript identifies striking references to “ordinance number 2024-12” in a prior set of minutes). The chair directed county staff to correct the drafts and redistribute them. The board approved payroll and several claims during roll-call votes; committee reports presented recommended claims for payment subject to county-board approval and roll-call votes carried.
Board members also agreed to a standing schedule of committee meetings beginning in February. The revised calendar sets recurring committee meeting days to improve the flow of agenda review before the second-Tuesday county-board meeting; management and finance committee timing and days for health, tax, judicial and highway committees were confirmed on the record.
Several routine appointments, claims payments and procedural motions were approved by voice vote or roll call during the meeting. No substantial policy changes were enacted as part of these administrative approvals.
