At the Jan. 16 meeting Planning Board staff member Jennifer Nugent summarized recent Baltimore County Council legislation of interest to the board.
Nugent listed several bills by short title and purpose: Bill 92‑24 (zoning: contractor storage yard uses in the BM zone), Bill 93‑24 (permitting housing for the elderly as a principal use in the MLR and ML zones under certain acreage conditions), Bill 94‑24 (permitting commercial kennels in the ML zone under certain circumstances), Bill 95‑24 (amending OT zone bulk, height and area regulations for residential uses within large commercial office parks in Owings Mills), Bill 99‑24 (use permits and regulatory requirements for hookah and vapor lounges, including distance and surveillance rules and permit suspension/appeal processes), and Bill 100‑24 (conversion of boarding/rooming houses to apartments and required facilities/parking). Nugent also noted Resolution 47‑24 establishing the Baltimore County Redistricting Commission for the 2026 general election.
