Tinley Park trustees voted Jan. 21 to approve a contract with Retail Coach to provide retail-recruitment and development-strategy services for the Harlem Avenue corridor, an area identified in the committee discussion as the entertainment corridor near the incoming Topgolf facility.
Dan Ritter (referred to in the meeting as Dan) introduced the proposal and Donna (village staff/marketing) described the contract as a strategic partnership to solicit the right retail mix for that entertainment area. Trustee comments on the record characterized the contract as thorough and suitable to bring new businesses not currently in the market.
The motion to approve the Retail Coach contract passed by recorded roll call. Trustee Brady, Trustee Brennan, Trustee Mueller, Trustee Shaw and Trustee Sullivan voted yes in the recorded roll.
What’s next: Staff indicated the village will work with Retail Coach on outreach and strategy; no dollar amounts, contract term or procurement details were read into the committee transcript and therefore are not reported here.
