Evolve Therapy & Yoga founder introduces new Tinley Park practice focused on child therapy and yoga

At the start of the meeting the Village of Tinley Park recognized Evolve Therapy & Yoga during the business‑spotlight portion of the agenda.

Lloyd Logan, identified at the meeting as the founder of Evolve Therapy & Yoga at 7905 West 159th Street, Suite C, told trustees he is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 15 years’ experience and a 200‑hour‑certified yoga instructor who has combined yoga with talk therapy for children and adolescents. “If I have a kiddo that doesn't really wanna talk that day … we'll do yoga instead,” Logan said, explaining why the practice uses yoga as an adjunct to therapy for young patients.

Logan described in‑person therapy as a motivation to open a local practice after a period of virtual care during the COVID pandemic. He said Evolve began offering pediatric yoga classes on Saturdays (a 10 a.m. class for 4‑ to 6‑year‑olds and an 11 a.m. class for 7‑ to 12‑year‑olds) and that the practice opened with a grand opening Oct. 24. He said the studio added adult services and a therapist who specializes in addiction treatment for adults.

Logan told the board that families of color had been seeking providers and that local Black and Brown children had started attending because they saw representation at the practice. “A lot of Black families have been finding me… they said that Tinley Park specifically does not really have any Black therapists,” Logan said. He described the practice as “inclusive” and said he had a waiting list for in‑person therapy.

Trustees welcomed the business and congratulated Logan on opening in Tinley Park. The presentation was informational and no formal action was required or taken.
