Council approves HDR for wastewater treatment plant upgrades; staff to negotiate contract

The Riverton City Council approved Jan. 21 the selection of HDR Inc. as the city’s consultant to study and design process upgrades at the municipal wastewater treatment plant. The selection follows a qualifications‑based procurement and concurrence by the Wyoming Community Development Authority (WCDA) for the WCDA‑funded project.
Public Works Director Brian Eggleston told the council the city received two responsive statements of qualifications and staff used a scoring matrix to evaluate consultants; WCDA reviewed and concurred with the recommended selection. The project is associated with an existing WCDA grant of $2,601,000 to address process improvements at the plant. Council approved a motion directing staff to begin contract negotiations with HDR and to return with an agreement for council approval.
