The Harford County delegation voted on Thursday to remove a former delegate, Rick Ann Polaria, as a signer on the delegation’s PNC Bank account so officers can update signatures and pursue a lower-cost account.
Delegation members said the account—opened before the current membership—recently began incurring statements and service fees. A delegate reported the account previously charged no fee, then $2 per statement, and had risen to about $15 per statement, motivating the vote to remove the former signer and allow account changes.
The motion to remove the former delegate’s name from the account was moved and seconded and carried by voice vote. Chair Teresa Riley said the delegation will take the minutes to the bank to complete the signature updates and explore closing or converting the account to a lower-cost option.
The vote was recorded by the clerk and carried by majority voice vote; no formal dollar transfers or budgetary authorizations were taken during the meeting.
