Board approves Clearview elementary boundary adjustment to include St. Augusta and County Road 8

The St. Cloud Area School District Board of Education on Jan. 22 approved a boundary adjustment for Clearview Elementary School that adds the St. Augusta area and the County Road 8 area south of Minnesota Boulevard to Clearview’s attendance area.
Nikki Hanson, assistant superintendent of E–5 learning, and Joel Heitkamp, executive director of operations, presented the recommendation and the map showing the two areas proposed for the change. Administrators said the adjustment was previously presented to the board on Jan. 8 and that the proposal responds to capacity concerns at district elementary schools.
Board members noted that the district has not performed a comprehensive elementary-boundary realignment in decades and supported the change as a thoughtfully developed, administratively led solution to enrollment pressures. The board unanimously approved the adjustment.
