Scott, identified as working with the Des Moines Marina and speaking in the Harbor Master role, told the committee he will provide frequent updates on the L, M and N dock replacement project and related parking work. He said March is a target for installation activity and that the Redondo parking work will be combined with an update on Marina parking revenues. April will include a marina comp plan update, and the service center gates project and other Marina CIP items will appear on future agendas. Staff and committee members agreed brief monthly status reports (five to ten minutes) on bond-funded projects were helpful.
Committee members asked that staff flag roadblocks and decision points as they arise. Staff said council will receive decision points on the 13th and that subsequent bidding and procurement will follow depending on council input. No formal committee action was required; staff will continue to provide project updates through the committee and other appropriate forums.
