Board members discussed that the board deferred formal adoption until 2025 so incoming members could participate in forming the goals. The governance goals the board adopted focus on five areas: social and emotional health; learner experience; staff recruitment and development; culture, climate and community; and operational excellence. The goals will be posted online so the public can access them.
A motion to adopt the 2025 governance team goals was made and seconded; board members voted unanimously to approve the motion. The presiding officer noted the goals had been discussed in previous meetings and that the current action formalized them for the year ahead.
