The Moraine Community Improvement Corporation appointed Laura Perry as treasurer and approved its 2024 annual financial report during a brief meeting that convened at 6:52 p.m. and adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
The action formalizes a designation of the CIC’s treasurer role and completes the corporation’s required filing with the Ohio Auditor of State. CIC staff reported there was little activity for the year and said the account earned modest interest.
A CIC staff member presented the annual financial statement and told the board, “What you can see here is there was no significant business done in the CIC. It is an interest bearing account, so they have received $58.58, bringing a total for the end of year, balance of $14,666.29.” The staff member asked the board to accept the report and file it with the Ohio Auditor of State.
Mr. Davis, a CIC member, moved to appoint Laura Perry to the CIC as treasurer and recorded that Perry had already signed the financial statement as acting treasurer. Meeting discussion noted the appointment does not require a separate roll call vote and that the appointing authority would finalize the written confirmation the following day.
The board voted to accept the annual financial report by roll call; members voting in favor included Mrs. Webb, Mr. Davis, Mrs. Allen, Mr. Miller, Mr. Daugherty and Mayor Murphy (6-0). There were no recorded no votes or abstentions. The motion to accept the report was recorded as approved and the statement will be filed with the Ohio Auditor of State as required.
There was no other business, and the meeting was closed at 6:57 p.m.
