Elizabeth Horn (chief program officer) and colleagues described nearly five decades of island service and emphasized the organization’s strategy of reducing health disparities by serving uninsured, immigrant, limited-English and other vulnerable residents. Horn said the WIC caseload on the island includes roughly 235 enrolled participants this month and that 233 redeemed benefits in the previous month.
