Snoqualmie Planning Commission approves agenda and minutes, elects Tessman chair and Kielkopf vice chair

The Snoqualmie Planning Commission opened its Jan. 21 meeting with roll call and a unanimous vote to approve the agenda as presented.
After the council liaison report and other business, the commission voted to approve the minutes from Dec. 2, 2024. Commissioner Morusiak moved to approve the Dec. 2 minutes “as written”; a second was recorded and the chair called the question. The commission voted in favor without opposition.
The commission then held its annual election of officers. Chair Luke Morusiak read the rules for electing a chair and vice chair for a one‑year term and noted a chair may not serve more than two consecutive terms. Vice Chair Tessman accepted a nomination for chair; Commissioner Koka nominated Commissioner Kilguff (variously recorded in the transcript) who accepted the nomination. The commission voted by show of hands. The chair announced, “It’s unanimous. Commissioner Tessman is chair.”
Morusiak then nominated Mr. Kielkopf (recorded as vice-chair nominee in the transcript); the commission again voted by show of hands and the announcement followed that the vote was unanimous for the vice chair.
At the end of the meeting the commission moved to adjourn; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
