Board approves staffing additions, contracts and routine items; votes unanimous

The North Syracuse Central School District Board of Education approved multiple routine and staffing items and moved into executive session to discuss negotiations, legal matters, personnel and a parental appeal.

Across the meeting’s business agenda the Board approved: minutes of Dec. 16; several school placement and surplus declarations; acknowledgment of a final property tax reconciliation from the towns named in the agenda; multiple new positions (including teaching assistants, a special education teacher, an occupational therapist and a 0.4 ENL teacher); various administrative appointment amendments; a five-year service contract for technology leases with BOCES RIC Services; acceptance of an anonymous gift; and a separation agreement with an employee. Board members then approved personnel reports A, B and C and moved to executive session.
