The Lewisville Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Monday to approve Tina Clark as the district’s executive director of special education.

Board member Catherine Sells moved, “I move that the board approve Tina Clark as the executive director of special education as recommended by administration,” and Doctor Stacy Barker seconded the motion. The presiding officer called for the vote and recorded it as unanimous, 7-0.

The item followed the board’s closed session under Texas Government Code sections 551.071 and 551.074. Board members present and recorded on the vote were Catherine Sells, Sheila Taylor, Michelle Ochateb, Doctor Stacy Barker, Lisonbee Lasson, Jenny Proznick and Doctor Bonner. The board invited Ms. Clark and her family forward after the vote to meet trustees.

No additional conditions or implementation details were announced in open session; the board indicated the appointment was “as recommended by administration.”
