Trustees approve request for gas and diesel bids for 2025–26 fleet year

Moscow — The board voted unanimously Jan. 22 to publish requests for proposals for gas and diesel to cover the district fleet for March 1, 2025, through Feb. 28, 2026.
Facilities director Butch Feehley presented the motion, describing the request as a means to encourage competition and secure the best price for fuel. He provided the district’s historical fuel expenditures: 2019–20: $56,339.67; 2020–21: $39,550.20; 2021–22: $89,543.50; 2022–23: $86,232.25; and 2023–24: $86,232.11.
The board approved the publication of proposals by voice vote, recorded as 5–0. The procurement timeline calls for bids to be published and returned for staff review in advance of the March 1 contract start date.
