Michelle Espinagle, director of Page County Conservation, asked the board to provide fiscal sponsorship and a letter needed for grant applications to the Southwest Iowa Foundation. “I am just here to formally request, sponsorship while I go into Grant's fiscal sponsorship,” Espinagle said, and asked that the board provide a letter covering 2025.
Espinagle said she is new to the process and has found prior examples of the board providing letters for similar requests. She asked the board to direct the letter to the foundation and offered to provide a template: “I can send that to Cindy.”
A supervisor moved to approve the request and to direct staff to prepare a letter; the motion was seconded and carried by the board. Espinagle said that was all she needed at the meeting.
