During a Board of Cannabis Commissioners session convened within the Jan. 21 meeting, aldermen approved an indoor cultivator tier 2 license renewal for Fosten Farms LLC.
A representative said the operation has been licensed since 2022 at a Clarendon location and currently grows around 500 square feet; the proposed new location would allow cultivation of roughly 2,000 square feet. The applicant told the board they supply more than 20 dispensaries statewide and had installed security upgrades at the proposed site (cameras with no blind spots, burglar alarm system and glass-break detectors).
Alderman Taddeo moved approval, the motion was seconded, and the renewal was approved by voice vote. The board then exited the cannabis commissioners' session and resumed regular business. The applicant said they were leasing the new property and hope to purchase it in the future.
