Tenney said the affected pipe is an 8-inch clay tile line with numerous cracks and several recent failures; crews have set up bypasses and experienced a stuck jetter nozzle at the collapsed section. The work will pipe-burst and replace about 111 feet of pipe with an 8-inch poly line and will replace two manholes. The budget estimate for the project is $83,117 and funding will come from the citys CMOM (Capacity, Management, Operation and Maintenance) funds.
The motion to solicit bids passed unanimously. The authority directed staff to proceed with procurement and return with bid results for award consideration.
