Jeffersontown — The Jeffersontown City Council voted to approve a revised detailed district development plan for a property at 11301 Decimal Drive, clearing the way for a building expansion that would increase the structure from 13,357 square feet to a total of 29,557 square feet.
Steve Russi summarized the submission to the council, saying, “They are looking to expand the building from 13,357 square feet in addition of 16,200 square feet for a total of 29,557 square feet. There are 22 parking spaces provided on the plan.” The revised plan was transmitted from the Louisville Metro Planning Commission with a recommendation for approval.
Developer Stan Lechtevelden told the council the project involves purchasing an existing vacant building and expanding it for a current tenant that needs to double its space. "Their minimum requirement was 20 parking spaces. So they'll have 20 employees," Lechtevelden said.
The plan shows the site in the Commerce Park area west of Bluegrass and adjacent to Blankenbaker Parkway. The council record indicates no variances or waivers were required and that Louisville Metro's recommendation for approval was unanimous.
Council members moved for approval after the presentation and the motion carried by voice vote. The meeting transcript does not include a roll-call vote or a numeric tally.
The developer and planner did not provide a project schedule or a dollar value for the renovation during the meeting. No environmental review, traffic study details, or building permit timelines were provided in the transcript.
