DuBois County opens owner-occupied rehabilitation bids; awards hot-mix paving contract to low bidder

County staff recommended awarding the work to C and R Construction as the lowest responsive bid. Commissioners approved the award on a motion and voice vote.
Owner-occupied rehab approvals: After reviewing the owner-occupied rehabilitation proposals, commissioners accepted a package of low bids for HVAC and water-heater replacement at qualifying houses where the low bids were within the program's cost estimate. The board voted to approve the group of bids deemed acceptable and directed contract paperwork and vendor outreach to proceed. For the State Road 145 application, where the bid exceeded allowance, staff recommended denial for that line item but accepted a smaller water-heater repair bid.
