The Marshall County Drainage Board nominated a temporary chair and approved a slate of officers, board secretary and its drainage attorney during its Jan. 13 meeting.
The board nominated Stan Plots as temporary chair to run the start of the meeting. Commissioners then moved to appoint Randy Glingle as board president and Stan (surname not specified) as vice president, with authority for the vice president to sign documents for the president if the president was unavailable. The motion carried by voice vote.
The board also reappointed Angie (last name not given) as drainage board secretary. The board appointed Sean Cerisi as drainage board attorney; Cerisi came forward after the vote.
Board members discussed regional joint-drainage and watershed boards and filled a number of county representative slots for joint boards that serve multiple counties. After members volunteered for specific boards (Marshall-Stark, Marshall-Pulaski-Stark, Fulton-Marshall, Kosciusko-Marshall and others), the board moved and approved the proposed slate of appointees by voice vote.
The appointments were procedural votes; the board did not identify a formal roll-call tally in the minutes and approved each motion by unanimous voice vote as recorded.
The board then moved on to agenda items including variances and public requests.
