The district presentation compared recent accountability data and internal projections: presenters said district CCMR percentages rose from 56.1% to higher figures in subsequent accountability cycles and that internal projections using the district’s CareerCraft tracking system placed CCMR for 2024 at about 95%.
Staff outlined four CCMR measures the district monitors: students on track for dual credit at the end of junior year, students off track who will complete Texas College Bridge courses by senior‑year fall, students on track for industry‑based certification and career‑pathway alignment for incoming ninth graders through counselor meetings. Presenters said 42 seniors had already completed IBCs and a further 41 were on track to complete them; the district identified 243 seniors who had been off track and said 230 of those had either completed or were completing Texas College Bridge coursework.
Board members praised counselors, CTE and ROTC staff. Trustee discussion asked about program examples and expansion plans; presenters listed offerings including security officer, dispatcher communications, fire training, welding, cosmetology and patient‑care technician, and described conversations with CTE staff about adding construction, automotive and commercial drivers license (CDL) options based on local labor needs.
Motion to approve the HB 3 CCMR progress monitoring was made by Mr. Rosado and seconded by Mr. Torres. The transcript records a voice vote with all in favor and the chair announced the motion carried.
