Katy ISD fine arts leaders present theater season, student awards at board meeting

Czabrowski described the breadth of theatrical activity — season shows at each junior high and high school, adjudicated junior‑high one‑act play festivals and the competitive UIL one‑act play circuit — and introduced a short scene presented by Katy High School students from their upcoming musical. Trustees and the superintendent praised student performers and encouraged community members to attend public performances across the district.
Why it matters Trustees noted the district’s distinctions — Katy ISD has been recognized by national and state art‑education groups and in 2024 reported a high number of student all‑state musicians — and emphasized the role of fine‑arts programming in student development and community engagement.
