The facilities presentation listed potential future projects pending citizen committee review: upgrades to the student guidance center lighting, an interior refresh at Calderon Elementary, dining‑area treatment at Rio Bridal School, perimeter fencing at San Felipe Memorial Middle School and Buena Vista Elementary, immediate district‑wide HVAC needs, library expansions at Garfield and San Felipe Memorial Middle School, locker rooms at Garfield, and a parent drop‑off canopy and landscaping at Del Rio Middle School.
Chapa also reported maintenance work‑order statistics: 889 maintenance tickets created in the past 90 days with 89% complete; technology department 1,934 tickets at 95% complete; transportation 161 tickets at 96% complete. The board asked follow‑up questions about replaced gym floor boards and plans to blend new boards with logos so replacements are less visually prominent.
