Kenosha County board approves series of appointments, grants permanent cabaret license and hears ordinance first reading

The Kenosha County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a package of resolutions Tuesday that included a permanent cabaret license for Honey Drippers Pub in the town of Wheatland and several appointments and reappointments to local commissions, and the board received a first reading of an ordinance amending Chapter 4 of the county code on civil service.

The board’s actions move forward confirmations for emergency-planning and civil-service posts that affect county operations and services and clear a local business to operate under a regular cabaret license after a six-month probationary period. The approvals were routine and each passed without recorded opposition.

Supervisor Nick Franco moved each of the Judiciary and Law Enforcement Committee’s items that came before the full board, and most motions were seconded by Supervisor Garcia or other members as recorded. The board noted that committee votes on the items were unanimous before taking the final votes.
