The Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors voted to approve claims and payments, adopted minutes from Jan. 14, 2025, and directed the county auditor to advertise a public hearing and bid opening for the county's fiscal-year 2025 pavement-marking project.
The board approved a resolution authorizing payment of county claims. County staff reported total bill payments of about $468,795 and a secondary fund payment of $3,344.43. Significant line items noted during the discussion included payments related to Veterans Affairs and public health; the VA portion cited was $66,949.50 and the public-health portion cited was $137,814.95.
The board also approved the meeting minutes from Jan. 14, 2025. Separately, the board moved to advertise and open bids at 9:05 a.m. Feb. 11 in Boardroom 201 of the Black Hawk County Courthouse, 316 East 5th St., Waterloo, for the proposed FY25 pavement-marking project in locations throughout Black Hawk County.
All three motions carried by voice vote as recorded during the meeting.
