The Joint Finance‑Appropriations Committee approved the governor’s FY2026 recommendation to adjust operating expenditures and capital outlay for ongoing contract inflation increases (for example, lease rate inflators). The committee recorded an unanimous vote in both chambers to include the adjustment.
Analysts told the committee the total request for ongoing contract inflation across state agencies amounted to $3,356,400. The motion adopted the governor’s recommendation and allocated $1,291,500 from the general fund, $935,400 from dedicated funds and $1,129,500 from federal funds for a combined total of $3,356,400. The committee packet includes a breakdown by agency in the back of the packet.
Representative Miller moved adoption of the governor’s recommendation and Senator Woodward seconded. Committee leadership called the roll for both chambers under the usual JFAC voting practice and reported the measure passed with 20 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent.
