Steve said the governor's guidance “does require 6% cuts to state agencies” and that while the board will develop options to meet that target, the ultimate decisions are left to agency leadership. He explained there is a broader target of about $4,000,000,000 in state general‑fund savings the cuts are intended to help achieve, and he noted the LEOFF board's budget does not come from the general fund.
Jacob White said staff will send updates immediately if legislation with an impact to the board appears and will publish weekly Friday updates.
