The Wausau Board of Public Works on Jan. 21 approved two contractor licenses for Forner Asphalt Sealers, agreed to review four proposals for construction oversight on a downtown street reconstruction project, and voted to go into closed session to deliberate claims under state law.
Board member 1, a member of the Board of Public Works, said the board had received four proposals for construction oversight for the “25 Wausau downtown street reconstruction” and that the proposals “will be reviewed and brought back with the recommendation.” The board did not take a final action on the proposals at the meeting.
Board member 1 moved to approve a Portland cement concrete license for Forner Asphalt Sealers, saying, “I’ve reviewed that license and recommend its approval.” The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Later in the meeting Board member 2 moved to approve a bituminous concrete paving license for Forner Asphalt Sealers; that motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Near the end of the session Board member 1 moved that the board go into closed session “pursuant to section 19.85 of the Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of deliberating on claims.” Board member 2 seconded the motion, and the board approved entering closed session.
