Medina County commissioners approve series of routine resolutions including budget amendments, contracts and grants

Medina County Board of Commissioners members voted unanimously to approve a package of departmental resolutions covering subdivision approvals, sanitary and highway projects, personnel actions, a multi-year union contract, budget amendments, grant acceptance and several contracts and agreements.

The actions were approved during the commissioners' public meeting after brief presentations from department staff. All roll-call votes recorded Commissioners Sweatick, Hambley and Harrison as voting "Yes." The board then voted to enter an executive session on personnel and property matters to conclude the meeting.

Why it matters: The package includes a temporary budget amendment, a new opioid/stimulant grant for a county drug task force, routine infrastructure procurements and contracts that authorize procurement and project design work across county departments. The largest single cash item recorded on the agenda was the weekly bills total, which includes significant sales-tax passthroughs to local school districts.
