The House also took up Joint Senate Resolution No. 8 (JRS 8), which states: “Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives that when the two houses adjourn on Friday, January 24, 2025, it be to meet again no later than Tuesday, January 28, 2025.” The resolution was read and adopted in concurrence by voice vote; the presiding officer announced, “The ayes do have it, and the resolution is adopted in concurrence.”
Later in the session, Member from Poultney moved that the House stand adjourned until Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at 3 p.m. The presiding officer put the question by voice; the ayes were declared to have it and the motion passed.
