Transportation committee approves transit contract items, forwards parking resolutions to full council

The committee approved City Administrative Officer recommendations to amend two DASH service contracts and approved a Board of Public Works recommendation to revise streets of significance for the Purple Line Extension Project. The committee continued a motion about posting traffic-restriction signage along South Western Avenue and West 14th Street to a later meeting. Three resolutions related to overnight parking districts and tow-away restrictions for oversized vehicles were forwarded to the City Council floor with no committee recommendation.
The actions affect multiple neighborhoods served by DASH and streets under review for the Purple Line Extension. Approving the CAO and Board of Public Works recommendations allows contract and technical project steps to proceed at the committee level; the continuance and the forwarding of resolutions means full City Council consideration is required before final implementation.

The committee did not take final votes on the overnight parking and tow-away resolutions; instead those items will appear before the full council. The traffic-signage motion was continued for further work and was not adopted at this hearing.
