Board members and the conservation commission will consider whether professional or in‑house review is appropriate for the next step: drafting commentary or recommendations on how the maps should inform town planning and conservation priorities. The board noted map file sizes required compression before web publishing and that accompanying narrative descriptions explaining map content and methodology will be necessary to make the maps usable to the public and other boards.
The planning board agreed to continue coordinating with the conservation commission and to determine whether a consultant or volunteer working group will draft recommended policy uses and explanations for the maps. No vote was taken; staff indicated maps should be available on the planning department’s web pages in the coming weeks.
