Misty Masolo, assistant public works director, told the board the revisions are legal clarifications and "will not affect current customers"; the resolution text read into the record stated, "No fee changes are being proposed at this time. However, slight changes to the formatting and content of the Broadwater County canister rental agreement are being proposed."
Why it matters: The resolution standardizes terms for new customers going forward and clarifies indemnification, liability and invoicing language, county staff said. Deputy County Attorney Caitlin Minor told commissioners the changes are "solely legalese" and will not change services or prices for constituents.
Formal action and outcome: A motion to adopt the resolution was made, seconded and approved by voice vote during the meeting.
