The Streets and Sidewalks Committee reported Jan. 13 on the proposed 2025 paving program, which includes a list of roadway sections attached to the committee report. Mr. Phillips read the committee recommendation and described the recommendation that staff proceed with bidding and contracting under the $1.5 million authorization.
Council moved to suspend the rules and adopt R5-2025; the motion to suspend the rules was made by Mr. Phillips and seconded by Mr. Twist. The motion to adopt the resolution was moved by Mr. Witten and seconded by Mr. Sievert. The roll call on adoption recorded all present council members voting yes; two members had been excused earlier in the meeting.
Staff will advertise for bids and return to council with contract award details. The resolution authorizes bid advertisement and execution of a contract up to the $1.5 million cap; specific contractor selection and contract terms will be determined through the competitive bidding process and brought back to council as required by city procurement rules.
