The Board recommended two allocations from the interim Finance Committee contingency account under NRS 353.268 and recorded one withdrawal.
The Board voted to recommend that the interim Finance Committee allocate $196,076 to be deposited in an account for foreclosure-mediation assistance and transferred to Home Means Nevada, Inc. to support the foreclosure mediation program. The request was presented as coming from the Department of Business and Industry on behalf of Home Means Nevada, Inc.
Separately, the Department of Public SafetyDivision of Dignitary Protection requested a recommendation to allocate $87,921 from the interim Finance Committee contingency account to provide dignitary protection for the governor. Board members discussed timing and related items; one Board member noted the governors item was "very timely," saying the members own office would be presenting a related dignitary-protection request to the Board in the future.
Board staff also noted that agenda item 7B had been withdrawn before consideration. The Board then approved 7A and 7C together and moved on.
The approvals were by voice vote; no roll-call tally was read into the record.
