Ordinances adopted
Ordinance 25‑01 — Providing for the improvement of Pooch Avenue and appropriating $190,050, funded by a New Jersey Department of Transportation Local Aid grant — adopted on second reading after a public hearing. The council closed the public hearing and voted by roll call to adopt the ordinance.
Ordinance 25‑03 — Correcting ordinance 24‑15 to implement goals and objectives of the township's 2019 master plan reexamination report — adopted on second reading after a public hearing and roll‑call vote.
Resolutions and administrative approvals
Resolution 25‑101 — Authorize payment of bills for Jan. 1–Jan. 16, 2025 — approved by roll call.
Resolution 25‑102 — Authorize award of contract for township planner to Joe Burgess, PP, AICP, Burgess Associates Inc. — approved by roll call; Burgess was previously presented to council and is listed as township planner.
Resolution 25‑146 — Authorize 2024 transfer of appropriations in the amount of $3,000 — approved; staff provided a written follow‑up during the meeting showing health‑benefits line balance after the transfer.
Consent‑agenda items approved included refunding specific escrow funds (resolutions 25‑105, 25‑108 and 25‑109), participation in the Defense Logistics Agency Law Enforcement Support Office 1033 program for police equipment (resolution 25‑149), authorization to enter a developer agreement with Cohen Development Group LLC (resolution 25‑132), cancellation of certain general capital fund ordinances to clean up unneeded balances (resolution 25‑147), and participation in the Sustainable Jersey municipal certification program (resolution 25‑148).
