Members also questioned whether there was funding specifically set aside to mark the commission’s 75‑year and related anniversaries; staff said no special appropriation was included, though conference and professional development lines could cover limited celebration costs. Hock said the commission has documented history and materials to distribute as part of an upcoming conference.
The committee’s full chair advised members not to act on the budget that morning, noting additional amendments tied to compensation and health insurance increases were still being settled and purple sheets were pending. The subcommittee set SB 2005 aside and will revisit it after the additional amendments and documentation are prepared.
