Wimberley quarterly investment report: balances ahead of last year; Blue Hole down pending trail reimbursement
Summary
City staff presented the first quarter FY2025 investment report on Jan. 16 and said overall balances were ahead of the same period last year. The Blue Hole account is down temporarily because of a trail project; staff said reimbursements of roughly $270,000 are expected to restore the fund.

Tim (city staff) presented the City of Wimberley’s first quarterly investment report for fiscal year 2025 at the Jan. 16 council meeting and said the city is a little ahead of where it was at the same time last year.
Tim told council that the Blue Hole account balance is lower than last year because the city advanced funds for a trail project and is awaiting reimbursement. "Once we get reimbursement from that, you'll see an additional about 270 some 1,000 go back into that account," he said.
Council had no substantive questions beyond clarifications and a motion to accept the quarterly report passed unanimously.
Ending: Tim said staff will continue to monitor accounts and report back as reimbursements are received and noted the next regular financial reporting schedule.
