Bothell signals support for Woodinville regional community center funding letter

City Manager staff said Woodinville has authorized roughly $6,000,000 toward acquiring a site and is seeking federal community-project funding to supplement that allocation. The NPRSA board previously voted Oct. 16, 2024 to move forward with a site in Woodinville for further study and second-phase evaluation. The city manager noted the NPRSA board includes two Bothell council members and one alternate and said staff would route the letter for signature and provide it to Woodinville if there were no objections.
Several council members expressed support for the letter on the record and asked that long-term maintenance and operating costs for a pool or community center be considered in future planning. No formal council motion or recorded vote was taken; staff will route the letter for signature if there are no objections.
