The Berkeley County Planning Commission voted to accept staff recommendations for final plat determination and to advertise a public hearing on Feb. 18, 2025, for the Sater Residential Development Section 1 final plat (file 2409-280).
Staff described the proposal as 81 single-family attached lots on 17.9 acres off Seder Drive in the Mill Creek district, to be served by public water and sewer. The project previously received waivers to allow a right-of-way in a buffer area and to modify required buffers between residential and commercial uses. County Engineer Doug Smith found the project compliant with the 2009 subdivision ordinance on Oct. 23, 2024; staff recommended moving forward with public hearing advertising for final plat consideration.
Mike Roberts represented the project; commissioners had no substantive questions and approved advertising the hearing. The scheduled public hearing on Feb. 18, 2025, will be the opportunity for final public comment and for the commission to decide final plat approval.
