The South Fayette Township SD Board of School Directors approved four personnel items at its Jan. 27, 2025, meeting, taking action on hiring, a sabbatical leave and a set of extracurricular and mentor assignments.
Board members voted to approve personnel items 17, 18, 19 and 20 in a single motion moved by Mr. Franella and seconded by Mr. Ignemma. The motion passed on a voice vote. "Aye," the record shows; no opposition was voiced.
The approved items included hiring Julie Kulbego as human resources coordinator at an annual salary of $59,000, effective Jan. 27, 2025, pending receipt of required documents. The board also approved an elementary school counselor, Molly Kucinski, for a sabbatical leave of absence for the second semester of the 2024–25 school year.
Personnel item 19 approved a set of extra-duty EPRs and mentor assignments for the 2024–25 school year, including paraprofessionals and concert support for intermediate- and high-school music programs and mentor assignments for special-education staff. Specific names approved in the motion included Carolyn Kennewall, Molly Mihawk, Miriam Fowler, Cara Pappas, Lydia Sop, Misty Menarchek, Katie Munnell and Haley Ali as listed in board materials.
The board also approved a revision to the retirement date for benefits coordinator Victoria Adams, changing her retirement date to Jan. 21, 2025.
Those four items were the only personnel matters taken up for action that evening; the wider personnel slate (items 1–16 and other hires/resignations listed in board materials) was presented for future action as noted in the agenda.
