Board President Crystal Bender said Blank will remain on the job for roughly five and a half months, during which the district will continue its regular work and the board will begin planning a search to fill the post. The announcement followed routine business including an audit presentation and academic updates. The board did not take action tied to the announcement during the Jan. 14 meeting.
The board indicated it will provide further details about the search process in a future meeting and asked Blank and staff to continue district operations in the interim.
