SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah — The San Juan County Commission voted Jan. 21 to approve a contract with DataFi to supply visitor analytics and behavior data to the county’s destination marketing organization.
Allison from Visitor Services presented the procurement, saying the county evaluated several vendors and chose DataFi because it provides deeper visitor‑behavior analytics — including trip origin, day‑by‑day behavior and multi‑site visitation patterns — that the county lacked in previous datasets. Visitor Services said the data will help the county better target marketing spend and understand which markets produce higher‑spending visitors.
Commissioners approved the contract on a unanimous voice vote.
Ending: Visitor Services will execute the DataFi contract, begin receiving analytics and integrate the findings into marketing plans and reporting.
