Sweet Briar College president outlines campus growth, Amherst County Day plans

She said Sweet Briar wants to partner with the county on Amherst County Day (planned for April 5) and other community events, and she asked county staff and supervisors to help publicize the event and collaborate on planning.
Board members thanked Pope and noted Sweet Briar's community contributions; supervisors said they looked forward to Amherst County Day and to continued partnership on events, student internships and use of facilities for local programs.
No board action was required; the presentation was informational and staff were asked to coordinate outreach for the April event.
