Haley Creamer introduced herself and described extensive involvement with youth livestock programs, the Amherst County Fair and regional livestock shows; she said she would work to grow the county's livestock show and encourage youth participation. Cook Harvey, the other applicant, described community work (farm work, farmer's market management and volunteer fire service) and said he would learn the committee's priorities and look for ways to enhance existing efforts.
As agricultural-committee liaison, Supervisor Tucker recommended appointing Creamer while noting Harvey would be an asset in future work. The board moved to appoint Creamer; the motion passed.
The county will notify the appointee and post the committee appointment in official records.
