The Jacksonville Beach City Council appointed Marcus Campy to serve as the second alternate on the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) to fill the remainder of an unexpired term that runs through Dec. 31, 2026.
Council member Jansen nominated Campy during an open-nominations process after a prior withdrawal from consideration. Council members who spoke in support noted Campy’s participation in the Citizen Information Academy and said his background would complement the existing CRA composition.
A roll-call vote recorded affirmative votes from all members present; the appointment passed with no recorded opposition.
Council thanked Campy for stepping forward. Staff noted there was no urgency to the appointment and that the council had additional time to consider nominees if necessary, but members concluded the current nomination was appropriate.
