Community members thank Craven County Schools board during School Board Appreciation Month

Several speakers used the meeting's public comment period to publicly thank the Craven County Schools Board of Education in observance of School Board Appreciation Month. Speakers representing school staff, transportation and cafeteria departments, individual schools and student groups expressed appreciation for the board's work supporting students, staff and school operations.

Comments included general thanks for "all the work you do for all these schools" and praise for the board's role in student success and governance. A representative of the transportation department said, "we would like to thank all the board members for the amazing job that y'all do each and every day for Craven County Schools." Cafeteria staff from West Craven High School and staff and students from Havelock Middle School offered similar remarks of gratitude. Several brief comments closed with, "Thank you," and named individual schools including West Craven High School, Havelock Middle School, West Kerwin Middle and Bergenus Elementary.
