Leitchfield Planning Commission elects 2025 officers, approves Dec. 9 minutes

The Leitchfield Planning Commission on Jan. 13, 2025 installed new commissioners and elected its officers for 2025 during a brief organizational meeting. The commission swore in Angela Gibson and Trent Van Meter before the meeting and then proceeded with nominations and votes.
The commission selected Mark Buckles as chairman for 2025, April Bowman as vice chair and Missy Mudd as secretary-treasurer. Nominations were opened and closed by motion, and each officer was approved by the commissioners present. The commission also voted to approve the minutes from its Dec. 9, 2024 meeting, which had been emailed to members earlier that day.
Chairman Mark Buckles opened nominations for chair and was nominated; a motion to close nominations carried, and Buckles was approved. For vice chair, Buckles nominated Commissioner April Bowman; a motion to close nominations carried and Bowman was approved. For secretary-treasurer, the commission nominated Missy Mudd and voted to approve her for that role.
The meeting record notes the swearing-in of the two new commissioners occurred just prior to the start of the formal session. Commissioners present for roll call included Wes Whitmore, Missy Mudd, Kendall Clemens, Angela Gibson, Trent Van Meter and Chairman Mark Buckles. After business was completed, the commission adjourned.
